Shopping in Orlando

Shopping in Orlando is brilliant!!! There are so many outlets and even with the pound taking a battering against the dollar there are still bargains galore. I was never lucky enough to go when it was 2 dollars to the pound but I can bet you needed an extra suitcase to get home!

My opinion is that the best Orlando shopping venue is at Vinelands. Situated just off the I4 it feels safe and it has so many choices. Including North Face, Polo and Gucci.

Some of the major brands there include…

Nike (you can buy Nike Air Max from $99!), Gap, Armani, Fendi, Coach, Michael Kors, Polo Ralph Lauren, Reebok, Puma, Timberland, Hilfiger, Crocs, Diesel, Rockport, Sketchers, Vans, J.Crew, Fossil, Seiko, Sunglasses Hut, TagHeuer, Vera Bradley, Steve Madden, Perfumania, Toys R Us, DKNY, Dressbaen, Guess, Nautica, Papaya, Bass, Cole Haan, Ecco and Converse!

So plenty of major brands that we all know and love.

Now parking here can be very busy but to be fair there is an outdoor car park and a multi-story so you will get parked. There is also a food court so you won’t go hungry.

Food Options include…

Maki of Japan, Taco Bell, Starbucks, and Subway. There is also a Longhorns, Panera Bread, Carrabbas Italian Grill and Pollo Tropical very close by.

Getting to Orlando Premium Outlets

If you’re traveling north on the I4 from where most of the Villas are, take exit 68 then head on to Vineland Avenue and its on the right.

South on the I4, take 68 and then take a right turn and right again, that will put you onto Vineland Avenue too.

You can also take the turn to Vineland Avenue from International Drive.

In my Orlando shopping escapade, the only other mall I’ve been to is Florida Mall. I’ll be honest I really didn’t like it. I didn’t feel safe there and I wouldn’t go again. That’s just my opinion, I think I found Vinelands to be classier and so I was drawn to it. Vinelands is also outside but its undercover so it feels open and bright. It also got all the shops we need so don’t feel the need to go anywhere else.

The SUPER supermarkets

You can get lost in these places! They are huge! There is a Walmart Super Centre on Vineland Road which sells lots of low-cost clothes and souvenirs for you to take home. They are also great to get things for the holiday such as beach towels and suncream.

There is also a Target on W Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway which again is great for home goods, clothing and souvenirs.

Publix

Publix is great, to me, it’s a cross between Sainsburys and Marks and Spencer’s food department. It’s a bit more money than the others but if you are stopping in a Villa it’s a great place to get stocked up. The cakes are amazing, they also do rotisserie chicken, beer, water etc. There is a great one at Championsgate. The staff will take your shopping to the car for you. Just so you know you don’t tip them for this it’s part of the service.

Disney Springs

I couldn’t do a post about Orlando shopping escapade without mentioning my beloved Disney! I’ll do another post about Disney Springs so look out for that but this is just about the shopping. There is a lovely shopping area in Disney Springs with some very upmarket shops. Disney Springs is just a great way to spend an evening. Have a mooch around the shops and some food. Really good fun.

Here are a few of the shops and boutiques in Disney Springs…

Anthropologie, Apex (by Sunglass Hut), Build a Dino (Build a Bear but at T Rex Resturant), Coca-Cola store, Everything But Water, Fit2Run, Havaianas (flipflops), Kate Spade New York, Kiehls, Kipling, Lacoste, Lego, Levis, L’Occitane En Provence, Origins, Pearl Factory, Harley-Davidson, Sanuk, Savannah Bee Company, Sephora, Something Silver, Super Dry, Trophy Room, Tumi, Ugg, Under Armour, Vera Bradley and Zara.

Now, these are all high end and it’s not an outlet so prices are high but it’s great for a look around and getting a few nice bits for yourself, you are on holiday after all!

Well, that’s it for now. I hope you’ve enjoyed this article about my Orlando Shopping experience.
